We are a humanitarian food-aid organization dedicated to significantly reducing the number of hungry children in the United States and feeding starving children throughout the world.
Dedicated to feeding hungry children and engaging volunteers in meaningful service
Kids Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization founded in March 1999 by Richard Proudfit with a mission to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the United States and to feed starving children throughout the world.
Our program engages volunteers of all ages in packaging highly nutritious, vitamin-enriched rice-based meals. These meals are specially formulated by nutritionists to provide optimum nutrition for malnourished children.
Each meal contains 21 vitamins and minerals, 11 grams of protein, and all 9 essential amino acids required for complete nutrition. Our meals have a shelf life of 3+ years, making them ideal for distribution worldwide.

Engaging communities in the fight against hunger
Volunteers package highly nutritious meals at satellite locations across the United States and Canada, providing meaningful service opportunities for all ages.
Approximately 2/3 of our meals are shipped internationally to children and families in need across 65+ countries worldwide.
About 1/3 of our meals stay local, distributed to food shelves and families in need within the communities where they were packaged.
Our simple yet effective process for fighting hunger
Groups gather at satellite locations to package meals. Volunteers mix dry ingredients and seal them in specialized bags.
Meals are inspected, sealed in moisture-proof packaging, and prepared for distribution. Each bag contains 6 servings.
Through trusted partners, meals reach children in need. Partners document distribution and provide testimonials.
Every 6 seconds, a child dies from hunger or related causes. You can make a difference today.
